"Thank you very much for your interest. Please let me tell you a little about my experience and education. I earned a PhD from Wayne State University in 1988, a Master's Degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1985, another Master's Degree from Wayne State University in 1980, and a Bachelor's Degree from Oakland University in 1977. I began counseling people in 1976 and am currently serving as the administrator of Mielke and Weeks Psychological Services.

Over the years as a means of remaining current in the field of psychology, I taught many college level psychology courses from 1985 through 2006. As an Adjunct Professor at Macomb Community College and a Special Lecturer at Oakland University I taught the following courses: Introduction to Psychology, Psychology of Adjustment, Child Development, Lifespan Developmental Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, History of Psychology, Health Psychology, Psychopathology, Sports Psychology, and Human Sexuality.

Currently, I serve in an administrator capacity at Mielke & Weeks Psychological Services in Rochester Hills. I have provided individual and group supervision to more than 50 therapists in the Metro Detroit area. For over 25 years I was employed as a Consulting Psychologist at Macomb Family Services, Eastwood Community Clinics St. John Health System, Macomb County Jail, Clinton Counseling, and Renewal Christian Counseling Center. In each of these organizations I provided Therapist Clinical Supervision, Utilization Review, Quality Assurance Services, and served as a presenter on many topics related to the practice of psychology and the delivery of therapy services.

I urge you to review the information about other therapists on our website to help you choose the therapist whom you think would best be able to help you with your current situation. You may then call their phone number or email them directly to schedule an appointment.
As always, I wish you the very best.."----Dr. Mielke
