“For the past 20 years, I have been a member of the human service field
providing clinical and art psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults,
and families. I obtained my doctorate in Clinical and Humanistic Psychology
in 2004 and my specialist degree in Psychology in 2001. A Master of
Education with a specialization in Art Therapy was earned in 1994. My work
experience includes employment as a contractual therapist at Macomb Family
Services; providing counseling services to children, adolescents, and young
adults in the Fitzgerald School System through Baypointe Psychological
Associates; offering the Sandcastles program as a Divorce Adjustment Support
Group through the Livingston Court System; Macomb Child Guidance Clinic,
providing psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families. I
have also been employed as an Art Therapist, working with in-patient and
partial patient children, adolescents and adults and lectured on the
subjects of Women's Special Interests and Stress Management at several
universities within the United States.
My relationship with the arts has remained steadfast. I continue my journey
through life being a creative adult, utilizing my degrees as a
psychotherapist and art therapist. I am dedicated to providing comfort and
without judgment to individuals as they work through and resolve issues
related to anxiety, depression, divorce transition, grief and loss, low
self-esteem, stress related issues, and women’s issues. I have specialized
training in the areas of grief counseling, women's issues, children and
divorce, and counseling victims of sexual trauma. As a Humanistic
Psychologist, I am dedicated to the belief that all individuals have the
potential toward self-awareness and the capacity to experience personal
human growth. It is my hope that you now have a picture of my education,
work experience, and professional interests.
