I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Oakland University and went on to complete a Masters in Social Work from Wayne State University. I have been working as a therapist for 18 years and I have a passion for helping individuals to overcome stigmas and redefine themselves as confident and capable by employing cognitive restructuring strategies to help individuals re-frame their perceptions of themselves and their environment. I have experience in school and outpatient settings dealing with issues of depression/mood disorders, anxiety disorders, bi-polar disorder, grief and loss, anger management and all types of addiction. I have also have experience with families and individuals in transition. I am an ally of the LGBTQ+ community and have experience in helping individuals embrace their authentic self. I also earned a certification in alcohol and drug counseling (CAADC) and have specialize in the treatment of adults and adolescents who are dealing with co-occurring diagnoses. So in other words, I can help you work through mental health and substance use issues in an all encompassing approach. Reaching out isn't always easy but I hope to be able to put your mind at ease and create an open environment for you to process past and current trauma/transitions. My work cell phone number is 248-285-2910
